About the list

What you can find on the public list

What you can find on the public list

What you can find on the public list

The idea is simple:

This is where the contractor members of our local group share their digital reputation for you to validate.  So if there is information missing, they didn't provide it to you/us.  Why is that important? Think about the following:

  • Did they provide a link to their google review page so you can see what people are saying?  Maybe they have 10 years experience. Maybe they just opened their own business with no reviews but their willing to put themselves out there.  They may be indicating that they care by sharing that link.
  • Did they provide a link to their Facebook business profile? Have they taken the time to create one?
  • Did they provide a link to their personal profile?  Big companies don't don't have one. If they are a sole proprietor with no business page... what does their profile picture look like?  Some, quite frankly, are disturbing.
  • Learn to read the red flags and make judgements based on your own expectations.  We hope this list helps put together a bigger picture of who you might hire.

Why is there an Insurance Verification?

Insurance Verification is a general service we provide to the list viewers.  It is OPTIONAL. It shows that the business or entity in consideration for a job has taken the time to display to-the-public their professionalism.  We cannot make guarantees because we have no way of knowing if a contractor has paid their insurance the following month.  Also, Just because it isn't verified doesn't mean they are uninsured.  ALWAYS ASK for a COI at the time of a bid.
